Arcana Pontis

Astrological cusps are thresholds—transitional spaces where the energy of one sign fades and the next begins to take shape. They are not rigid borders but zones of fusion, where traits intertwine to create complex, nuanced identities. This project was created to illuminate these liminal realms by introducing twelve intermediate archetypes, bridge-signs that synthesize the shared qualities of the ending and emerging signs. Each has been paired with a symbolic element and a mythological reference, offering a tangible way to narrate the metamorphosis between two zodiac energies. In this way, cusps cease to be shadows at the edge of the zodiac; they become bridges between worlds, revealing hidden keys to the deeper layers of personality.

Bio

Andrea Galad is an Italian-born visual artist, dancer, choreographer, and photographer based in Berlin. He began experimenting with photography around 2009, using friends, natural light, and his fascination with painting to craft haunting, surreal images. Influenced by neoclassicism, mythology, occult sciences, Victorian literature, dance, and art history, Andrea Galad fuses the bestial and the divine in evocative portraits that explore Eros and Thanatos—love and death.
Through stark, manipulated visuals, Andrea creates neo-romantic imagery that allows emotional introspection, reflecting both the shadows and light within us . Now preparing projects like an astrology-themed art book, he continues exploring potent psychological and metaphysical themes.
