LECTURE

Totenbaum: The Coffin and the Mysterium of the Living-Dead
In this thought-provoking lecture, David Beth explores the coffin as a mystico-magical symbol at the heart of a holistic spiritual worldview. Far from being a mere vessel for the dead, the coffin emerges as a potent magical object and a threshold—a gateway into death understood as the tabernacle of Life itself.
Drawing upon his deep experience as a priest of Haitian Vodou and a leading initiate of animistic esoteric traditions, David will illuminate the coffin’s role in spiritual transformation, ancestral communion, and the ecstatic embrace of mortality. Particular emphasis will be placed on ancestral veneration and the initiatic pathways that reveal death not as an end, but as the most vital force in a truly awakened existence.
