The Crypto-Utopian Occult Revival and Anti/Fascism

New Age spirituality may be articulated with either fascism or anti-capitalism.  In the current technophiliac occult revival, social justice will be optimized by hacking the world with blockchain and psychedelics, and technofascism grows. We organize this seminar to think through the power of the occult as the power of the hidden, the power of the hidden vs. the perils of recognition, and what all this means today in terms of digital culture, social movements organizing, data and strategy.  While traditional actors on the left seek visibility, value transparency and make spectacles of themselves—together and separately—pursuing various politics of representation and identity, our political enemies seek only results and are willing to operate in darkness. If technology is a realm of magic then we must steal it back from the capitalists or hack it.  If there is power in being hidden then this power must be ours.  Whether you call it magic or science, the Renaissance arts of memory work and we must master them better than our political enemies.  Since Occult Features of Anarchism (2019) circulated in translation during the Covid-19 pandemic, many have asked author Spartacus Tonans, Supreme Magus of the Kitchen Garden 007˙ what is to be done?  This is our provisional answer.  Beware the psychedelic metaverse.
