Prevalent Aggregates
Prevalent Aggregates is a collection of sculptural works exploring archetypal forms and symbolic structures embedded in collective memory. Through a material language that draws from geology, ritual, and industrial residue, the series examines how form can echo ancient narratives while remaining rooted in the present. Each piece serves as a kind of fragment—part relic, part proposition—inviting viewers to consider what is preserved, repeated, or distorted over time. These works are less about singular meanings and more about accumulation, pattern, and the quiet persistence of symbolic weight.
Bio
Jonathan Anderson (b. 1977, Inverness) is a Scottish artist currently based in Dorset, UK. He studied Fine Art at Swansea College of Art, where he developed a deep interest in sculpture and the symbolic power of materials. Drawing inspiration from folklore, myth, and the esoteric, Anderson creates enigmatic objects that blur the line between relic and invention. His work often reflects a fascination with hidden histories, ritual forms, and the metaphysical qualities of the everyday.
