Extended State DMT and Entity Encounters
In 2023 Julian Vayne took part in an experiment at Imperial College London, in which he received an hour-long intravenous injection of DMT; a powerful visionary psychedelic renowned for its ability to induce entity encounters.
One of the principle aims of the scientists was to probe the nature of these entities that populate the psychedelic innerworlds.
Julian will describe his experiences during this extraordinary experiment, he’ll share some of the results of the extended state DMT trials, and explore what this research might mean for occultists working with spirit entities.
Bio
Julian Vayne is a British independent scholar and author with over four decades of experience within esoteric culture: from Druidry to Chaos Magic, from indigenous Shamanism through to Freemasonry and Witchcraft.
Growing up in the Britain of punk and then rave culture Julian immersed himself in the philosophy and techniques of magic. He has worked in ceremony with practitioners from many different lands and lineages and is a senior member of the Magical Pact of the Illuminates of Thanateros.
Julian is a co-organizer of the psychedelic conference Breaking Convention, sits on the academic board of The Journal of Psychedelic Studies and has been a visiting lecturer at several British universities. Julian facilitates psychedelic ceremony and training and is a founding member of The Fellowship of Psychonauts. He is the author of numerous books, essays, zines and other media including the celebrated Getting Higher: The Manual of Psychedelic Ceremony.
