Bio
Néstor Ávalos (born June 5, 1983) is a Mexican graphic artist whose work blends esoteric, mystical, and occult themes through digital and traditional techniques. Trained in graphic design at Universidad de León, Irapuato, he is largely self-taught in painting and illustration. His dark visual language draws on ancient myths, sacred iconography, and left-hand path philosophies, creating complex symbolic compositions that challenge the viewer’s perception of the sacred and profane.
Ávalos’s work is widely recognized in the international extreme metal scene. He has collaborated with renowned bands such as Bloodbath, Moonspell, Rotting Christ, Hecate Enthroned, and Blut Aus Nord, crafting album covers, merchandise, and visual identities.
His pieces have been exhibited across Mexico, Europe, and the U.S., including collaborations with TRVE Brewing Company and solo shows like Hosanna en las Penumbras. His art, often described as “a gateway to spiritual chaos,” invites deep introspection into darkness, mysticism, and beauty beyond convention.
