Threads of Psyche

Threads of Psyche are presented in 4 female figures/costumes connected through the use of threads and ritual weaving with mantras to meditate on vulnerability and the desire to transcend fear :

The black figure has a golden womb, the spiralling journey of the soul / vital force together with the Ankh seal for eternal life and fertility, knitted with gold threads (gold as colour of power and the divine) resembling a snake aiming to bring fertility.

The red figure is a symbol of personal or social liberation, a passage from confined darkness towards the bright release in a green garden.

The white female body has wings, as an angel or a bird. Knitted with threads of silk for both fragility and strength. A heart-bird symbolises the vital need for awareness and action while being reminded of fragility.

The second black costume is part cage, part sanctuary, with fragments of glass, mirrors, and porcelain, as delicate traces of memory and resilience in a dream language.  Hand-knitted messages are flowing, woven with pieces of worn tights, red and black threads, all emblems of resistance, fragility, and transformation.
