Sopoorific

This one woman band live performance unfolds as a journey between sound and spirit, a live invocation woven from dark ambient and experimental textures, designed to lead the audience to the mesmerizing edges. Alone on stage, she becomes both conjurer and conduit, blending whispered incantations with sonic landscapes that summon invisible presences.
At the heart of the performance blows a sonic wind, a restless force long feared and revered in the legends of the South, where it is said to drive one mad. Here, the wind is more than moving air; it is the breath of the unseen, the messenger, a symbol of passage and transformation. It slips through the cracks of reality, intangible and elusive, carrying forgotten voices and shadowed memories.
The live performance holds an almost narrative dimension, set within a dark fantasy universe where myth and reality blur. Through shifting currents of sound, the wind becomes a guide, a spectral traveler inviting the soul to wander beyond boundaries, to lose and find itself in the liminal space between worlds.
This performance is a dance with chaos, a meditation on the indeterminate, and an invocation of the mysteries dwelling between silence and noise.

Sopoorific is the musical project of Alison Flora, a multidisciplinary artist based in Toulouse, France, exploring sonic experimentation alongside painting, drawing, and installation. Her soundscapes, deeply infused with fantasy and occultism, delve into themes such as magic, animism, dialogues with invisible entities, and introspective monologues on the torments of the soul.
In parallel with her musical work, Alison also engages in a ritualistic painting practice, using her own blood as a medium — a visceral act that deepens her connection to the soul and becomes a personal rite for exorcising the inner self.
Drawing inspiration from Coil, Zero Kama, and the dungeon synth realms, she sculpts dark ambient atmospheres where performance becomes a form of catharsis. Through her compositions, she exorcises fears and obsessions, summons the absent, and celebrates the survivors in a kind of mystical therapy.
Her live performances take on an incantatory dimension, blending whispered, chanted, or screamed words into a liberating sonic ritual.
